BoneYard announces 2014 Hoedown lineup

Old Chicago is history on Hennepin and the era of the BoneYard is upon us. We'll leave it to the food section to suss out the Southern barbecue cuisine, but the new restaurant is undoubtedly clamoring for a local music fan's heart with its upcoming live music event's lineup.

Don't let the name fool you, this June's BoneYard Hoedown isn't strictly a country music affair. (It'd be a sight to witness BNLX delivering post-punk in cowboy boots.) With indie rock, DJs, and hip-hop, the ready-to-be-nicknamed event is throwing its hat into the busy block-party format in the coming warm-weather months.

Split between a more live-oriented Saturday, June 14 -- American Revival and Saint Anyway providing the twangiest sounds -- and the DJ-driven Sunday, June 15, the first Hoedown will offer up a parking lot filled with separate beer and wine gardens, and a barbecue menu featuring brats, ribs, whole hogs, and more Southern-style eats.

The BoneYard Hoedown 2014 lineup:

Saturday, June 14
Strange Names
American Revival
Saint Anyway
Toki Wright

Sunday, June 15
Mister Black
cfans x palladium
Brownie and Wharf

Update: Strange Names will not be at the BoneYard Hoedown

I'll stick with the better restaurants in town that offer better and free concerts.

Some good bands on Saturday, but no thanks. I'll go see free music at Stone Arch Festival that weekend.
