Beginning with a series of intimate shows late last year, the Hennepin Theatre Trust's New Century Sessions helped usher in a new music venue to downtown Minneapolis. The New Century Theatre is a modern, 250-capacity room in the heart of City Center, which provides a unique, personal concert experience for fans and artists alike.
To build on the success of their past seasons, the New Century Sessions have just announced a string of three new shows, which all feature talented local musicians.
On Friday, September 26, Mark Mallman will bring his spirited antics to the New Century Theatre, along with opener Ashley Gold. Local songstress Mayda Miller will deliver her funky, impassioned soul on Wednesday, October 29 (with openers to be announced soon). This will be a CD release show for Mayda, and the performance will be filmed by tpt for the Lowertown Line concert series.
And on Friday, November 7, Trip Shakespeare's Matt Wilson and John Munson will bring their brand of insightful, refined pop to the New Century Theatre stage. All of these shows begin at 7:30.
As with all of the New Century Sessions performances, there is a VIP ticket option for each show that allows fans the opportunity for an exclusive meet and greet with the musicians before the show, as well as signed CDs and drink tickets.
Tickets are available online at HennepinTheatreTrust.org, by phone (612-455-9501), or can be purchased directly (with no service fees) at the New Century Theatre Box Office, which is located on the ground floor of City Center in downtown Minneapolis.
Mark Mallman tickets are currently on sale, while tickets for Mayda and Matt Wilson & John Munson both go on sale on Friday, August 22, at 11 a.m.
