So Long Pat...

• Pat Green will be solidly mediocre no matter who joins him on stage... even Chris Gaines.

• Two of my favorite artists - both that are on the list actually - have opened for acts like Toby Keith and Big & Rich. Was I disappointed? Sure. But understand that these artists rarely comprimise their artistry and work for the ultimate goal of being the best new hot act in Nashville. They have both made some poor choices and recorded a very small handful of commercial tunes to get their other stuff noticed, but for the most part they are pretty damn true to their music and they pretty much record mostly what they want to record. They do not go the token Nashville act route and have done moderately well doing it too. One is on the verge of being huge. Pat Green however - sucked to begin with. Still sucks. Always sucked. Never should have been on the list to begin with. So to compare this situation to if Merle did the same....please. Stop it. There is no comparison. Merle has a life long record of talent and proving that he compromises to no one - especially not Nashville. Mr. Green will never ever be able to say that.

Most geezers still in the business still want to sell albums and they're more likely to not want to make waves by snubbing a request from a star or rising star, no matter how much they might dislike them or their music. • If Kenny Chesney walked on stage with Merle Haggard would he be "off the list", too? Just curious as to how far this goes.

• I went to college in TX when Pat Green was pre-national radio. He has always been a douche, now he just has the opportunity to show it off.

• Green's a tool. Yeah, he's from Texas...but I calls 'em like I sees 'em.
