• On last report, Pooh is living in a sewar in Birmingham, Alabama. Spreewell could barely dunk last year, I don't think he would make a good 7th man for anyone. His slashing days are over.

• If Brauer gets a Mahorn update, I want to know about Steve Johnson, the unhappiest man ever to (briefly) wear the green and blue. Which reminds me, whatever happened to Andrew Lang? He and Tom Herr are the only two people I know to have cried upon being traded to a Minnesota team.

• you forgot the Timberwolf who arguably most seriously impacted the franchise in the last eight years (aside from Garnett): Joe Smith. Of course, he impacted the team in the wrong way....still with Milwaukee, apparently.

• Word on the street is that all anyone's offering Spree is the minimum — and he won't play for that. I wouldn't call that a conspiracy, since that's probably all I'd pay him after last year, if that. But hey, a guy's gotta feed his family. By the way, I wonder if we should include Rick Mahorn (original Wolves expansion draft choice) and Ray Allen (Wolf for five seconds before the Marbury deal). Just hunting for trivia here.

• I have a conspiracy theory concerning the new and improved and hip-hop-thug- free NBA. Ron Artest is a changed man, good citizen, etc. All the players will be dressing like Athletes In Action. And... Spree is out of the league. The guy still has skills, right? Seems like he'd be a good 7th man for the Lakers or Heat. I think I smell collusion rats. Am I high? Britt? Brauer? Mr. Stern? Anyone?

• Pooh Richardson Head coach, the Maywood (CA) Laguneros of the ABA (yes, it apparently still exists). Got this from someone who knows in Mississippi: "Gerald (Glass) played in the leagues for the Timberwolves before being traded to the Pistons. From there he played for a couple of other teams before giving it up. Since then he has been back in Mississippi. He worked in Brandon at a car dealership, coached basketball, and I think now he might be living in Vicksburg working at one of the casinos."

• My inquiry mind what�s to know of the early soft underbelly of the young wolves. Brad Lohaus, Randy Brewer, Felton Spencer, Luc Longly, Mike Brown, Thurl Bailey, Stacy King, Greg Foster, Sean Rooks and Charles Shackelford. I wonder if they every recovered from the shell shock of playing the paint for the early T-wolves? Do they frighten of tall shadows still?
