• Thanks for the comments Steve and Deeznuts. As for Steve, I can see your argument but from what I have seen of McCants, I just don't think he seems to have the work ethic or "want-to" to focus on the rehab and return like Amare did. They are two different people. Also, for every Amare or JKidd that eventually comes back, there are a plethora of guys that succumb to micro fracture surgery and are never the same. I'm just not gonna hold my breath waiting, that's all.

• College Wolf, I agree with your analysis of recent games, however you should really give Shady a break until next season. The Microfracture surgery sets a player back 2 seasons. See Amare Stoudamire.

• Stephen, Yeah ok, you are right. Saying he �Completely sucks donkey balls� was probably not the most diplomatic thing to say. Maybe I�m just bitter because of other guys we passed up on in the draft, I dunno. But I sure would rather have Danny Granger, Gerald Green (More of a project but waaay more upside than McCants), Hakim Warrick, or David Lee. Those guys were all very valid possibilities as someone we could have drafted. So, perhaps I subconsciously have unwarranted dislike for McCants because he was drafted over these guys. I didn�t think he was all that great in college, I mean, look at the team he was on (Felton, May, Marv Williams � No wonder they won the title) I think he looked much better by association. Also, it wasn�t his fault that he got injured. Regardless, it�s something you have to take into consideration when evaluating him. Will he ever be able to perform at the top level that may be capable of? Who knows. Could he get injured again? Possibly. Regardless of those thoughts, what has he shown us? Sure, I agree with you that he has performed better this year than last. But really, how hard was that? He was absolutely terrible last year. (I don�t think anyone would dispute that.) Part of it seems to be an attitude change and the propensity to actually buckle down and play (or at least give the effort and try) on defense. That�s a good thing. So yeah, he�s better, but I would hope he would be; because as a lottery pick you kind of expect those players to get better every year. He�s not scoring as much this year because he�s not as explosive. Well, why�s that? Is he still feeling the effects of his injury? (If so, he should NOT be playing.) What if he never regains that explosiveness? Should we not dog him then because he was injured and couldn�t come all the way back? If that�s the case he�s just a glorified jump shooter and god knows we don�t need another one of them. I hope that�s not the case, but you never know. Lastly, he still does some things that absolutely turn my buttons. Namely, standing on the three point line and clapping for the ball. Are you serious Rashad? My goodness, move around, screen, run the offense, DO SOMETHING. You can�t see it as well on TV but by being at the games you can see all the times where he simply runs to one spot behind the arch and just stands there, doing nothing. It�s incredibly frustrating. Granted, he doesn�t do it as much as last year (which was 80% of the team) but he is still doing it way too much this year for someone who isn�t all that great of a 3 PT Shooter. Also, his lack of rebounding. Sometimes he does, I�ll give him that. But every game you can count on him being the first one to turn and sprint back from Defense when a shot goes up by the other team. He�s usually around the mid court line when the ball is rebounded. C�mon, help rebound the ball� it�s one of our biggest weaknesses. As I already agreed with you on, yes his defense is *better* and he tries, but still, it�s not consistently really good or anything to really write home about. (Sometimes yes, it is, but not enough to give him the label of being a good defender.) Anyhow, that�s about all I got on Shaddy. This was a bit more articulate and fair, so to speak. At least you can see my dislike of McCants, or at least the dislikes of some aspects of his game.

• Fellas, Sure the T-Pups have a long way to go; we all know that. I think they just lack team swagger (experience) but that appears to be comming ever so slowly and only in spurts for now though. However, a real experienced terminator like Sam Cassell comes with baggage too; such as his horrific defense,which is way worse than anything seen this year. If they can ever learn to play the right way "team ball"; they do have talent and can definitely make some noise in the near future. We are now seeing the "growing pains" of a birthing young team. It'll surely be interesting what happens in the off season, being that their ineptitude at this point should guarantee them not to loose their draft pick this year. So for now... guess we'll just have to grin and bare it... donkey balls and all!... Damn!

• I'll tell you my thoughts on the guard's defense. It's almost like when an entire team goes through one of those games when they can't hit a free throw. It all started with one guy who couldn't sink the freebie if his life depended on it. Next thing you know, they've shot 6-25 or something ridiculous such as that. The only problem with that analogy is bringing the defense all the way back to one player. Ricky Davis? He can do it...just not consistently. Mike James? He's too worried about his offense. On McCants, College Wolf, I can't believe someone who believes themselves to be a great basketball mind and attends the amount of games that you do would think McCants is aweful and want to give up on him already. His growth as a player from the beginning of his rookie year to the end of the year was outstanding. This year he is not scoring as much as we'd like to see, but watch the little things. Watch when he hits a teammate in perfect rhythm for an assist. Watch him as he busts his ass on the defensive end more then any other player not named Hassell or Garnett. Do I think McCants will be an All-Star someday? No, but he can be a very solid NBA player. Do not give up on him until this time next year. Let's see how he comes out next season after having a very long summer to get healthy. And, finally, "Complete sucks donkey balls." Is that the best you've got, man? Surely someone as intelligent as you can come up with better.

• I was occupied last night and just skipped to watching parts of the second half (Thanks DVR!) However, I wish I would have paid rapt attention so that I could make some enlightening points, but I don't got much. One thing that sticks out like a extremely sore thumb is: How is our Guard defense so completely awful across the board? It's utterly nauseating.... How can a team full of guards ALL be that shytty????? James doesn't play D at all, is slow, and just hacks. Foye could maybe be good, but he's a dang pogo stick out there jumping at even the slightest hint of a ball fake. It's pathetic. And McCants.... McCants is AWFUL. Complete sucks donkey balls. He has no explosion. He adds nothing to this team. If he isn't completely healthy, why the heck is he playing???? We don't need to reinjure him. (Not that I care, I'd just as soon trade him along with a bad contract for anything we could get in return.) Anyhow, that's one of my main gripes right now. At least Craig Smith looked great again.
