Photo by James Tetrenko Left wing Andrew Brunette, who has played in more consecutive games, 453, than any other active NHL player, is returning to the Wild, the team announced today. Brunette was with the team for three seasons from 2001-2004, where he produced solid offensive numbers with 54 goals and 110 assists. He helped guide the team to its first taste of serious playoff success in the 2003 Western Conference quarterfinals, including the game-winning goal in game 7 of the quarterfinals against the Colorado Avalanche to send the Wild through to the semifinals. The steady Ontarian missed only one game while with the Wild, and played every game for the past three seasons with the Avalanche. Terms of the contract were not released, but it is reported to be $7 million over three years.
